Escape it all to the adventurous trails of The Golan Heights. Hike and swim through the Yahudia, descend from The Hermon- Israel's highest mountain- to the springs of the Jordan River, or take the Golan Trail to cross all of the heights fron north to south, visiting the majestic Nimrod Fortress and enjoying some great vistas over Israel's neighbouring countries. The Golan Heights has plenty of hotels overlooking the sea of Galilee, country lodges and other forms of accomodation. While visiting the Golan Heights you can go rafting on the Jordan River, take a jeep tour of the area, or bathe in Hamat Gadder, a modern hot springs resort, situated right next to the ancient Roman resort- visit the perfectly preserved ruins, and the crocodile farm, and top it all of with a visit to the artists' village Ani'am.
